Victoria: Performing Arts Festival racing toward conclusion
Top young performers featured on final three nights
After 19 adjudicated sessions and eight honours and highlights performances by nearly 5,000 individuals, the Greater Victoria Performing Arts Festival winds up this week at the University of Victoria.
On Thursday (May 6) at the Farquhar Auditorium, the top adjudicated groups from the dance category for schools bring their best to the stage for the honours performance. The night includes the awards presentations.
On Friday it’s strings night, as the top judged strings players perform in the honours concert at the Philip T. Young Recital Hall, followed by the handing out of festival awards.
