The Healing Power of the Arts: Reflecting on the Outcomes from the Arts, Health and Seniors Project

The Arts Health and Seniors (AHS) Project explores the relationship between professional led community-arts practices and seniors’ health outcomes. The three-year pilot has documented the impacts of participation on the mental health and social connections of participating seniors. The initiative has also focused on supporting the development of new knowledge in the field of seniors’ health and wellness, recreation, and community-engaged arts.

A presentation of the project’s many successes, learnings and documentation and various research results will be presented on Friday, April 3 from 1 to 4PM at the Coal Harbour Community Centre (480 Broughton Street, Vancouver).

To attend, please RSVP by March 27 to Deepali Parhar, Program Facilitator T: 604-713-1861 or by email deepali.parhar@vancouver.ca
