Surrey: Wonderland for kids: Sixth annual event billed a ‘passport to possibilities’ starting Thursday, June 3

The sixth annual Surrey Children’s Festival comes to life next week at Bear Creek Park, with a few new wrinkles for 2010.

“Passport to Possibilities” is the theme of this year’s festival, a melting pot of free and ticketed shows starting Thursday, June 3 — both indoor, at Surrey Arts Centre’s two theatres, and outside, in tents set up in the park.

For three days, it’s a hub for professional theatre, comedy, dance, visual art, music and puppets, with performers arriving from across Canada to entertain at what’s billed as the only arts-based children’s festival south of the Fraser.
