Summerland: A chance for money

We don’t understand why schools would turn down the chance to get funding from a band’s performances, but that is what has happened over the last few months.

Since fall, The Saint James, a Kelowna punk band with Summerland connections, has approached schools across the province, offering significant funding for schools which host the band for a concert.

All but three of the 112 schools approached by the band have rejected the fundraising offer.

This response is quite puzzling.
