Prince George: Performers prepare to take to the stage

There are just over 800 performers busily preparing for the 59th annual Prince George and District Music Festival. Four adjudicators will assess the young musicians’ performances in strings, piano, instrumental and vocal.

Joel Stobbe, a former Prince George cellist who has performed throughout Europe, is currently program advisor for the string department of Langley Community Music School. He will adjudicate the string section of the local festival which begins Sunday, Feb. 21 at Our Saviours Lutheran Church. Three other accomplished adjudicators will also be at the festival.
