Port Moody: Contemporary gallery closing its doors
Contemporary art gallery and artists’ studios in Port Moody David Bizzo is closing the doors on his Electronic Avenue venue to make way for redevelopment.”
“I always knew year after year eventually they were going to tear the building down or redevelop the lot, I just didn’t know when,” Bizzo said.
The Electronic Avenue Gallery & Studios is officially closing July 31, but art lovers can take advantage of a 30 to 50% off sale until then.
Most of the works for sale are Bizzo’s own paintings, works on paper and new editions of archival inkjet prints, but there are also sculptures, ceramics and collectibles.
Bizzo already has plans for another Port Moody location, though the details are still under wraps until a contract is signed. He’ll be taking three of the Electronic Avenue artists — an architect/sculptor and two painters — with him but the new space won’t be a community gallery that’s accessible to the public.
