Peak Performance Project returns for an encore: Competition for emerging B.C. artists boosts prize money for Top 20 finalists in its second year
The second instalment of the Peak Performance Project will officially kick off Friday, when the online application forms for the music competition are made open to the public.
The music competition that started in 2009 will once again offer artists from all over B.C. the opportunity to win sizable development money prizes and a unique chance to learn more about the music business with an extensive array of training throughout the year, from coaching sessions to a “boot camp” and a concert series.
Earlier this year, young Kelowna rockers We Are the City were announced the winners of the first edition of the project during its finale at the Commodore Ballroom, walking away with a grand prize of $150,000. Vancouver’s the Left and Bend Sinister finished second and third, respectively.
