Pacific Rim: West Coast painter’s art featured on cover of wine magazine
Marla Thirsk, painter, sculptor, robot-maker extraordinaire, whose last poster was made for the Tofino Food and Wine Festival is also gracing the B.C. Wine Trails magazine cover.
While Thirsk is familiar with festival poster designs since the first Pacific Rim Whale Festival ones were designed by her, this is her first magazine cover.
“That was a stoke and a half,” she said. “But exposure is always the name of the game.
B.C. Wine Trails is a quarterly magazine that features the latest news in the province’s grape fields.
