North Vancouver: 500 artworks from 44

Finding a sense of stillness during the Olympics was hard to do.

But Caroline Ramirez managed to capture just that moment.

The Grade 11 Argyle student was on a mission with her signed-out school camera. It was a Sunday afternoon and the whole city seemed to be taking a breather from the previous night’s excitement. Ramirez headed for Granville Street.

She needed five exact frames of the same scene at different exposures. Once back in their photography class, the students used a computer program to layer the images on top of one another.
