Industry honours music icons: Vancouver Music Industry recognizes its biggest contributors

If a musician can play “Louie Louie,” then they can probably golf.

The Vancouver Music Industry holds its fifth golf tournament on July 27. The flailing will be at the University Golf Club, but the dinner and gala will be later that night at Villa Amato.

Receiving an honour for their contributions to Vancouver music will be Randy Bachman and Mushroom Studio’s Charlie Richmond.

As well as live music, the gala will include an auction and other attractions. Proceeds go to Sarah McLachlan’s Music Outreach and Music B.C. The brainchild of producer Jeff Dawson, the Vancouver Music Industry was started five years ago to unify the business here.
