Courtenay: Music meets business during conference
For those who want to know more about the music industry or get tips from industry professionals on how to better produce their own music, distribute and promote it, the third annual Vancouver Island Music Business Conference (VIMBC) is a four-day event June 24 to 27.
A diverse group of regional, national and international music industry panelists will present information in various workshops throughout the Comox Valley event, covering such topics as songwriting, music publishing, production, marketing and promotion, legal issues affecting musicians, and funding resources. Delegate passes are available online which give the participants access to workshops, performances, and socializing events including a concert by Chilliwack. Executive delegate passes are also available and include a round of golf at Crown Isle Golf Resort as well as exclusive networking opportunities.
