Cherryville resident hopes to put local musicians on map
A Cherryville entrepreneur is spreading his love of music, and those who make it, through the ‘net and with a special concert on Valentine’s Day.
Chris Witters, who recently launched his independent music site, www.cherrycreekmusic.ca, has been busy getting the word out to musicians and venues hoping to have a space where they can connect on a personal and local level.
“The main idea for this site now is to have it as a main source of networking/contacts list/directory for anything to do with music all in one place, for anyone to use, but based from right here, home,” he said.
Witters is holding his first event to launch the site, featuring the multi-genre, electro-beat sounds of Nelson’s Luscious Beats and Kelowna girl band Nixie at the Cherryville Community Hall Feb. 14.
