Arts minister no TV head
He might oversee B.C.’s film and television industry, but Kevin Krueger admits he doesn’t really watch movies or TV.
The Tourism, Culture and the Arts minister said he’s seen “not very many” of the shows his government touted in a press release this week about the booming film and TV production industry.
The list included television series such as Stargate Universe, Caprica, Fringe and Hiccups (a new show by the creators of Corner Gas).
Nor, Krueger admits, is he likely to see any of the Hollywood movies that filmed in B.C. in 2009 and are now about to hit the big screen, including the A-Team, Tron: Legacy, Percy Jackson and the Olympians and the latest Twilight film.
Krueger said he’s just too busy.
